![]() This age group has been prioritised in recognition that they are socially active and are key drivers of transmission of the Delta variant of COVID-19 across the country. The schools program is part of the Tasmanian Government’s “Super Six” week vaccination effort and is being delivered in conjunction with the Department of Education with the aim of minimising disruption to the study and examination schedule. Staff will also have the opportunity to receive the vaccine if they haven’t already. The Tasmanian Government is delivering free COVID-19 vaccines to students in years 11 and 12 aged 16 years and older in schools and colleges across the state.
